Society for General Systems Research
The Society for General Systems Research (SGSR) is predecessor of the current International Society for the Systems Sciences (ISSS), known to be one the first interdisciplinary and international co-operations in the field of systems theory and systems science. This organization was initiated in 1954 as "Society for the Advancement of General Systems Theory", got formally underway as "Society for General Systems Research" and was eventually renamed in 1988.[1]
